The Lao People’s Democratic Republic, commonly known as Laos, is a landlocked country located in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Myanmar and China to the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the south, and Thailand to the west. It has a population of approximately 7.3 million people, and its capital and largest city is Vientiane.

The main waterfall is over 50 meters tall, and there are several smaller falls and pools to explore. One of the unique features is the Bear Rescue Centre located on the way to the falls where visitors can see bears that have been rescued from illegal trading and hunting.

Plain of Jars

This mysterious archaeological site features thousands of giant stone jars scattered across the rugged landscape. Located in the northeastern province of Xieng Khouang, the jars range in size from one to three meters in height and weigh up to six tons each. The purpose of the jars remains a mystery, but they are believed to date back to the Iron Age. Visitors can explore the jars and learn about the history and culture of the region.
